1. I really didn’t gave you much notice before, but you certainly got my attention for a while there. We were never really that close from the start; you were closer with my other friends.

Eventually, by some circumstantial event,  you got to hang out with the rest of us. You’re witty and clever, the kind of person that I would really love to be with. Not in a romantic relationship, but being friends with you was the best thing that ever happened to my non-existent barkada life. We almost clicked and we knew what each other was thinking of even before we opened our mouths. It was funny that with just one glance at each other, we would laugh. Our other friends wouldn’t notice what was funny, but we had our tiny little inside joke.

Every time you sit beside me, or even hold my arm, I can really feel that spark. I just know, that we were meant for each other. Even my parents say so, whenever they see us in pictures.

But then one day, you dropped the bomb. You liked another person of the same gender. I guess you didn’t noticed how surprised I was when you told me that. I suppressed my shock with a boisterous laugh that probably would’ve woken up all the sleeping Jesuits in the campus.

Until now, we’re still friends and you never really knew what I really felt about you. Right now, I’m starting to get over you, and let’s just say I’m happy that I’m getting to.

It was never really a love story to begin with.
